Darren Gough at Clubhouse Marbella, Max Beach Day and Comedy at La Sala Puerto Banus

Can you believe we are on episode 30?! In this episode of Marbella with Him & Her (your podcast about Marbella and local areas), we talk about beach clubs, comedy, and celebrity interviews.
 
Apart from our regular Monday night rehearsal for Abigail's Party, which is now just under 2 weeks away, we went to a comedy night at the live lounge in La Sala (@lasalabanus). It was hosted by Nik Coppin (@nikcoppin) who introduced comedians including Josephine Lacey (@funnyautismmama) and Stephen Grant (@stephencgrant)
 
On Friday Hannah was back at La Sala but this time in the Clubhouse Marbella (@clubhousemarbella), their latest sports venue which is below the main La Sala. She was hosting a Q&A with England cricket legend Darren Gough (@darrengough44) who also did a meet and greet with some avid cricket fans.
 
Later in the evening we joined some friends who have a group called the Friday Frolics, which is basically a Friday night dinner club. We ate at the Chinese restaurant in San Pedro called Nuevo Siglo before heading across the road to catch the end of Sean Murray's set at the Hogan Stand (@thehoganstand).
 
PJ managed to pick up a cold on Friday night so spent most of the weekend in bed while on Sunday Hannah headed out with her girlfriends to Max Beach (@maxbeachmijas), a beach club east of Marbella in Riviera. Hannah and friends seemed to have a great time drinking, eating and drinking!! Then they headed back to San Pedro for a nightcap, cheese, jamon and wine and El Candil (@elcandildesanpedro).
 
This week's Sur in English articles include the announcement of new drought measures and not being able to water gardens or fill swimming pools again, and an article about Alan Boardman's walking charity in Mijas which has now raised in excess of €20,000 (@boardman_alan)

Tapas at Geranium, Lunch at La Sala by the Sea Marbella & Michael McIntyre in Gibraltar

This week Marbella with Him & Her went on tour to London and Gibraltar as well as having some fun in Marbella and La Cala!
The week started with a very early flight to London when some of the Marbella cast of the International Theatre Studio's (@internationaltheatrestudio) October production of Abigail's Party flew to London to see the play at Stratford East Theatre (stratford_east) starring Tamzin Outhwaite (@glamzin) as Beverley and Kevin Bishop (@iamkevbish) as Lawrence. 
During the London trip it was also our 7th wedding anniverseary so we stayed an extra night and had a wonderful tasting menu at Six by Nico (@sixbynico) in Canary Wharf.
On Friday we were both lucky enough to be invited to one of our favourite restaurants on the coast, Geranium by Chef Steven Saunders (@thegeraniumchefsaunders) as he was launching his new lunchtime tapas menu.
On Saturday lunchtime Hannah met a good friend at La Sala by the Sea (@lasalabythesea) in Puerto Banus, Marbella and enjoyed a lovely Thai sharing platter. Even though it is now mid September, the place was still buzzing!
On Saturday evening we went with some friends to Gibraltar to sea the hilarious Michael McIntyre at the Europa Point stadium. He did not dissappoint with everyone belly laughing from start to finish!

Marbella Beach Day, Millie Bobby Brown & Pizza

Welcome to episode 28 of Marbella with Him & Her, the number one podcast about the goings on in and around Marbella on the Costa del Sol.
We start ths episode talking about our wonderful end of summer beach day on the stunning beach at Elviria (east Marbella), where we also had the most expensive Spanish breakfast we have had in over 20 years living in Marbella at Perla Blanca Beach (@perlablancamarbella). That aside we had a lovely paella lunch and lots of fun and laughter with our new paddle board.
We got home and ordered our favourite pizzas from Prova in San Pedro (@prova_pizzeria)
Mille Bobby Brown (@milliebobbybrown) has launched a new range of glasses at SpecSavers (@specsaversspain) and Hannah reminisces about Millie being born here in Marbella and holding her as a baby!
We also talk about an exciting lunch we are going to on Friday at Geranium by Chef Steven Saunders (@thegeraniumchefsaunders) where he is showcasing a tapas menu for the mayor and other local dignitaries. We have has a sneak peak at some of the dishes and are really looking forward ro reporting back next week!
This weeks Sur in English article was the huge profits the supermarkets made thanks to tourism and the fact that more visitors opted to eat in at their holiday accommodation as opposed to eating out at restaurants.
It was a shorter episode this week as we recorded it early because we went to London to see Tamsin Outhwaite in Abigails Party....but more on that in our next episode!

Marbella Dating in Mercadona & The Mijas Hash Ball

Episode 27 is our latest installment of the Marbella lifestlye Podcast, Marbella with Him & Her presented by Hannah Murray (@radiohannah) and PJ Lopez (@pjlopez1marbella)
Hannah starts with a correction from an earlier podcast episode where she actually brought someone back from the dead (I think we will leave that one there, listen for details). 
There was a post BREXIT moan about presents being sent from the UK that incur an import tax, while goods from China are duty free.
We also speak about the Mijas Hash House Harriers end of summer ball held in Play on Mijas Costa, a stunning location overlooking the sea (@play_events_mijas)
We could not go through the week without talking about the Mercadona dating scene and the upside down pineapples that has gone viral around the world!
We also chat about the huge success of the Starlite festival in Marbella and the rumours of a potential move from its current home in Nagueles.

Marbella Lunch at Calma, Jimmy Carr in Marbella and OASIS drama

Welcome to the latest episode of Marbella with Him & Her, a weekly podcast by Hannah Murray (@radiohannah) and PJ Lopez (@pjlopez1marbella) about Marbella. We bring you information about what is going on and places we have visited around Marbella and the Costa del Sol.
This week we start with our visit to Musaka in San Pedro where we enjoyed a lovely Greek meal on Tuesday night (@musaka_sanpedro). On route home we went to take a look at the new opening on the boulevard called Del Grifo (@delgrifo_marbella) where you can get all types of craft beer.
We also chat about the hospitality industry and how they all seem to be suffering this year in terms of patrons, even though tourism is up and there are lots of people here.
We could not let the podcast go without talking about the OASIS concert and our experience trying to book tickets (yes we have a bit of a moan).
Hannah went for a lovely lunch in central marbella in a beach club called Calma by Kopparberg where she enjoyed some amazing food and wine (@calmabykopparberg). That was all before we ended up in Chef by Divot in San Pedro for Chateaubriand (@chefbydivot) via the Hogan Stand for Happy Hour (@thehoganstand)
On Saturday evening we headed to Puerto Banus to see the incredibly funny @jimmycarr in the Marbella Arena after having eaten at a lovely italian called Fat Mama Marbella (@fatmamamarbella) and treated to some delightful opera!

Marbella's Most Expensive Villa, El Candil in San Pedro & Taylor Swift

Welcome to the latest episode of Marbella with Him & Her. It was a busy week so we have packed quite a lot in to this episode.
We start with an after dinner visit last Sunday to El Candil in San Pedro, a lovely and very traditional Spanish restaurant that does amazing cheeses, jamon and red wine @elcandildesanpedro
We also talk about Hannah's UK trip to see the Talylor Swift concert which she says is one of the best concerts she has ever been to. While there Hannah popped into Harry's Bar for a Belini @harrysbarmayfair also to Feya for brunch @feyalondon and @elen_cafe for brunch the following day.
We talk about her birthday tradition of going shopping and lunch at Manuka with her dad @manukamarbella

Hard Rock Hotel Marbella, El Pimpi and Robert de Niro

It is episode 24 of Marbella with Him & Her, your weekly Marbella lifestyle podcast with Hannah Murray and PJ Lopez.
This week was a quieter week as Hannah was not very well, but she did manage to perk up for her birthday celebrations at the Hard Rock Hotel Marbella where she spent a fun day by the pool with her friends (@hrhmarbella)
They also discuss some of the top articles from the Sur in English which included a gastronomic tour of Ronda and Marbella by Hollywood legend Robert de Niro. He ate at the highly acclaimed Restaurant Bardal (@restaurantebardal) in Ronda before heading to El Pimpi at the Puente Romano to dine with Antonio Banderas and friends (@elpimpimarbella at @puenteromanoresort)
They also chat about properties over €1 million and the start of the famous Malaga Feria.

Pete Tong in Marbella, Keely Hodgkinson at Clubhouse and a day of Eating

Welcome to episode 23 of Marbella with Him & Her, a weekly podcast by PJ Lopez and Hannah Murray talking about things that happened in Marbella and the Costa del Sol over the last week and the different things they got up to.

Birthday Fun, Paddle Boarding And The Marbella 90s Festival

Welcome to our 21st Episode of Marbella with Him & Her, a fun podcast about what's going on in Marbella and the Costa del Sol.
This week we covered the many activities for PJ's birthday from a picnic at Lake Tortuga in Nueva Andalucia, the quiz night at the Hogan Stand in San Pedro (@thehoganstand) and his birthday meal at the Indian restaurant in El Pilar called Lal Qila (@lalqilarestaurantestepona). We also talk about the first try out of his new padel board that Hannah got for PJ's birthday, and the cheap beds at El Abrevadero
Rehearsals for the International Theatre Studio (@internationaltheatrestudio) October production of Abigails Party continued on Monday. PJ also noticed that Tamzin Outhwaite is in a production at Stratford East (@stratford_east) of Abigails Party from September to October so some of the Marbella cast have booked tickets to see a matinee in September.
Articles from the Sur in English this week (surinenglish.com) included the Bulls Ball Tomatoes, the beauty of the city of Cadiz which is said to have the beachside vibe of Barcelona and the historic charm of Seville.
They also speak about the beach in Cabopino where natursist, campers and boat owners can all enjoy specific facilities.
